Query Language 

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

finds documents containing 'David' or 'Haston' (not necessarily both)

David  or Haston

same as above

David and Haston

finds documents containing both 'David' and 'Haston' (both words must appear)

Daniel not Haston

finds documents containing 'Daniel' but not 'Haston' (ex. Daniels other than Daniel Haston)

McC*

finds documents containing words starting with 'McC' (thus, would find 'McComisky' and 'McComiskey' and 'McCumskay' and 'McCumskey,' etc.

(Daniel not Haston) and McC

finds documents with words that begin with 'McC,' plus 'Daniel' but not 'Haston' (thus, would find documents with the words 'Daniel' & 'McComisky,' or 'Daniel' & 'McComiskey,' or 'Daniel' & 'McCumskay,' etc...but not documents with 'Daniel' & 'Haston.'
